sUmMeR with nana and pops..

(Thumbs up to living at Nana and Pops' )

So since we sold our house and the new one is being built... we are living with Nana and Pops!
It has been great and of course the kids are super excited and loving it! I'm actually a bit worried about how Duke is going to take moving out and into the new house.

He has grown to love the stories Pop's tells every night before bed, swimming in the pool most every day, and sharing a room with Molly.

(she actually swam in her hollywood glasses)

(I called them Smackle tooth and Hollywood that day. (: )

We really appreciate that Nana and Pops have allowed us to live with them for 3 months. I sometimes feel like we are a tornado in their house, but they never seem to be bothered by us.... and I know that's hard. It's hard for any two households to combine but as I said, It's been great!

Jumping in together.

Molly learned to swim without her floaties and under water this summer!

Duke taught himself how to do a back flip off the side of the pool!

Thank goodness we will have a pool at the new clubhouse....

they've really gotten used to swimming often!

Thanks Nana and Pops!

gEtTiNg ClOsEr....

Progress on the house is going really well! We are still looking at mid to late Sept though.
These 3 months seem like an eternity!
We are so excited about the house... we just can't wait to see it finished.

mOlLy'S tUrN!

After two years of sitting on the sidelines and cheering happily for her brother, Molly B finally got to start gymnastics!

She was soooo excited!

We enrolled her at Noma's School of Gymnastics on Tuesday, July 6.

She did so well! She seemed like a natural. She was able to do everything her teacher
asked her to do and wasn't afraid of any of it!

( I thought the red panties were a nice touch! :) )

As a matter of fact... she was a little too comfortable. Her teacher had to call her back to the group a couple of times b/c she was doing cartwheels and running and flipping! Ha!

Even so, she did well and had a great time! The beam and the bar were her favs of course!

Molly b,
Momma and Daddy love you so much! More than you know. We are so happy that you are doing gymnastics and hope that this is something you will love. Thank you for being so patient and for cheering on your brother as you waited your turn! We are so proud of you and the little girl you have become. Remember... you are beautiful on the inside and the outside. Stay sweet and always keep God in your heart!
Love,
Mom and Dad

Barnett Family Vacation 10- Pigeon Forge

Since the oil had settled on the shore in Gulf Shores, we decided this year that we wouldn't visit the beach... :( Instead we went to Pigeon Forge, Tn. It turned out to be a great vacation!
The kids didn't seem to mind at all!
First we visited the Black Bear Jamboree, a dinner and show.
It was really nice and entertaining.

We played putt putt (all 48 of us!). Just kidding, there are actually 11 of us, but try playing putt putt with that many folks, half of them kids, and it seems like 48 of us! Of course, Duke got hit in the lip as clubs were swinging in every direction! He was ok though. Even with that many playing all together, it was a good time.

Later we drove up to Cade's Cove. It was beautiful! And.. we actually got to see a momma black bear and her two baby cubs! Just up on the side of a mountain as we were driving out.

It was awesome!

Later that evening we went to the Dixie Stampede. It was Fabulous! The kids as well as the adults really enjoyed the food and the show!

I didn't get to take pics inside though :(
On our way out, we had to stop and ride go carts!

We had a great time and will definately have to visit again!
