hApPy fAll y'ALL!

Every year since Duke's first fall (he is six now) we have gone to
Old Baker Farm in October for the pumpkin patch!
The farm has way more than the pumpkin patch though.
There is a giant corn maze, a cotton field, horse rides, a hay maze, a huge haystack that the kids can climb on, a petting zoo, a hayride to the pumpkin patch,
and if you choose to go on the festival weekend, you can see an old gun show and real Indians!
Duke and Molly truly enjoy our visit to the farm each year.
We visited the farm on Oct. 17. We were hoping for some good ole fall weather,
but not here, we had 80 degrees with a bright sunshine!
We still enjoyed our day!

Duke and Molly enjoy the petting zoo.

(she would pet ANYTHING! she is not scared either!)

The cotton field is fun!

The horse back rides are a fave each year!

(Coolio w/ no hands)

Our family (Me, Molly, Duke, Chad)

(This is the face I get from Duke now every.time. I try to take a pic of him!)

Nana and Pops with Duke and Molly.

Our wagon to take us out to the pumpkin patch.
The horses' names were Dolly and Molly! lol

To put it into Duke's words... there were millions of pumpkins. :)
Soooo many! All shapes, sizes, and several colors.

Molly found her one that we think may have been a lost onion! It looked just like one.
She always looks for the baby ones.

(even so.... she's still not finished)

(still looking!)

Duke found the biggest one he could carry this year.

That's the rule for him.... he has to be able to carry it back to the wagon.
Chad is normally carrying mine and the one I picked out for him to have. :)

Nana and Pops have gone with us each year.
Pops is always a big help in the carrying of the pumpkins as well!

Once we got back on the carriage.... I saw so many other pretty pumpkins that I wished I has seen in the patch! I'm always looking for that PERFECT one for whatever it is I have planned for it at that particular time. ha!

We had to visit the corn maze on our way out.
NOT my fave!

We had 6 pumpkins! (we got nana and pops' pumpkins too!)
Now we just have to figure out what we will do with each of them!

I definitely recommend the Old Baker Farm for your pumpkin patch visit!
We love it again and again each year!
I love too that we have gone to the same one every year.... when we're there...
we have such good memories of years before!

happy fall y'all!

The house is finished... we have closed.... and we are in!
We are so excited we can hardly stand it!
Everything came together beautifully... we are in love w/ our new home!

(again... why are my pics so small!?!?)

mOlLy b, mOlLy b!

It seems like just a short time ago, our miss molly joined our family!
So sweet, so perfect!
She made us a complete family of 4!
On September 14 miss molly b turned 5!
Happy birthday molly b, molly b! We love you so much sweet girl!

I planned for several months before the party and bought way TOO much stuff! But what the heck.... that's what birthdays are for! I decided on a sweet shoppe theme.... so we called it Molly's Sweet Shoppe! It was FABULOUS!
The invites went out.... and the decor went up.... and everything worked out just perfect!
This is molly's invitation.

My mother-in-law and I stayed up late Friday night to get the sweet treats
made for molly and her friends to enjoy!

OMG!!!! These cake pops were super delicious! I used a strawberry cake inside (pink of course!) and dipped them in melted white choc.! HEAVEN!

We also made these....

and these....

AND NO Sweet Shoppe would be complete without a Cotton Candy Machine!!!

Here is a pic of molly and I in front of the sweet's table.

This was the place setting for each child! How precious! Torie helped A LOT w/ getting everything done on Sat. morn.! Thanks torie!

And the centerpieces PERFECT and were done by Torie! thanks again!

As you can see.... EVERYTHING was fabulous!
I thought it was just beautiful and molly really enjoyed it... which of course is what matters most!
Here are a few more pics of some of the other decorations we had!
This hung on the front door of the clubhouse.

More of some of the sweets on the table.

Molly in her birthday shirt that I made b/c I couldn't find one that I liked to match her sweet shoppe theme. It turned out precious!

Close up of the birthday shirt.

Duke and Jack Rush enjoyed the treats too!

Jack Rush wasn't wastin' any of his cake pop!

Once the party was over.... we took some pics w/ the balloons.

And then we sent the balloons up to Aunt Brandi! We miss her so!

There are a ton more pics b/c torie decided to take 600!!!!!
For real... she took 600 pics at the party! Although... I can't figure out why they are so small on my post.
Thanks again torie for all of your help in making molly's day special!

Happy Birthday to you, happy birthday to you!
Happy Birthday Dear Molly..... Happy Birthday to you!

I am sooo way behind on my posts! After moving in w/ the in-laws for 3 months while our house was being built... I got way behind! It just seemed like we were never home. Anyhow... summer is long gone... Duke started 1st grade at his new school (away from me) and Molly started her last year of Pre-K!
Here is a pic of their first day of the 2010-2011 school year!

(Molly still takes her baby to school! She has added her blanket this year!)
